After a long, chilly November day of sightseeing in London — touring Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Globe Theatre — we ended our jaunt in front of the London Eye, a more modern landmark of the city. Towering more than 440 feet high — equal to 64 of London’s iconic red telephone booths stacked on top of each other — the attraction has 32 capsules, each representing a borough of the city. On a clear day, which we were lucky enough to experience, your gaze will take you some 25 miles out from the top of the structure. You can even spot Windsor Castle.
