We snapped this picture during a recent stay at Kowloon Shangri-La in Hong Kong. All the rooms at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel feature floor-to-ceiling bay windows, but we loved the view from our particular room because it overlooked Victoria Harbor. And we didn’t even have to lift a finger to see it—the curtains opened automatically when we inserted our keycard into the door, flooding the room with light and giving us prime views of three-masted Chinese junks sailing by, and the rolling hills and towering skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island in the distance.
